Jumbo Coil
Jumbo coils are manufactured in a flat coil with a plastic axle and paper cover. On smaller Jumbo coils the cover and axle are not used. Jumbo coil nails are used in automatic pallet forging machines. In such coils the number of nails may range from 450 to 3000 nails per coil. These nails are designed to be used with a pneumatic nail gun and come in long, coiled strips that can hold up to 3000 nails.
Jumbo coil nails are primarily used in the Pallet manufacturing industries and construction industry for framing, decking, and other heavy-duty applications. They are commonly used to secure wooden boards and planks together, as well as to attach sheathing, roofing, and siding materials to wood and metal framing. Because they are designed to be used with a nail gun, they can be driven quickly and efficiently, making them ideal for large-scale construction projects. Additionally, the coiled design of jumbo coil nails allows for a large number of nails to be held in one strip, reducing the need for frequent reloading of the nail gun.
Regular Wire Coil
Coil nails are a series of nails arranged in a circle connected by a piece of metal and loaded into a Nailer. However, the metal piece isn't the only type of collation for coil nails. More specifically, coil nails can be classified according to their types of collation, types of screw head, and types of screw shank.
Coiled nails refer to nails which are assembled together in coils by steel wires, hence the name wire collated nails. Main types include coiled smooth shank nails, coiled ring shank nails and coiled screw nails.
Coil nails are used in the production of wood pallets and containers, floor boards and wooden structures that require high strength.
Dome Wire Coil
When looking at the coil of nails, conical nails will be layered from the outside of the coil towards the center, creating a 'Cone', or domed shape. In such a coil the nails are layered from the outside of the coil to its center to form a cone. These coils are used in specially adapted cone coil nail guns. Using the wrong kind of coil in such a nail gun might lead to jamming, misfire, or even an injury. Conical coil nails are welded together by two thin wire strips at a slanted 15-degree angle. This form of coil potentially saves space because a conical coil has a lesser diameter than a flat coil with the same number of nails.
